Projections, VJ
Working with legendary Philadelphia promoter Dave P and production outfit Klip Collective, I was asked alongside my longtime creative partner to create and project a visuals package for a side stage of the annual Making Time festival. Taking place at a Revolutionary War era army base, we had the task of projection mapping onto a long-semicircular concrete bunker. We set up a rig featuring both our typical cadre of VCRs and custom circuitry, but this time with a wealth of footage processed by various machine learning algorithms. By combining cutting edge AI techniques such as depth mapping and diffusion, with analog techniques such as keying and feedback, we were able to create a truly unique package which fit the "transcendent" theme of the festival.
